You can’t have a creamy, cheesy bowl of pasta without blowing all of the months syns right? Wrong!
Serves 4-6 people (3 syns between 4 people or 2 syns between 6 people)
4 tbsp Elmlea light double cream (8 syns)
4 tbsp Freshly grated parmesan (4 syns)
100ml of the starchy pasta water
salt & pepper (you can always add bacon, ham, leeks, mushrooms, anything you want to this dish! I added some ham, leeks and peas and served with broccoli and green beans)
- Cook the pasta according to instructions minus 2 minutes (don’t forget to save some of the starchy cooking water).
- Add the pasta back into the same pan you cooked it in and in the jug that you saved your water in add the cream, parmesan, salt and pepper and whisk.
- Stir the sauce from the jug through the pasta over a low heat stirring for 2-3 minutes until the sauce sticks to the pasta.
Thats it! Hardly a recipe I know but ultimately creamy, cheesy and so easy to make! (if you want more sauce you can always add an extra tbsp of cream and parmesan for 3 syns)
