This sauce will keep in the fridge for a couple of weeks in a jar or clean squirty bottle. Tangy, sweet, yet savoury.
1 white onion, finely diced,
1 large clove garlic, grated,
1 tbsp sweet smoked paprika, and Worcestershire sauce,
1 heaped tsp mustard powder, salt and black pepper,
sweetener to taste.
- In a sauce pan stir fry the onion over a low heat with the salt and pepper until soft and translucent.
- Add the garlic and stir fry until fragrant.
- Add the rest of the ingredients and simmer for 15 minutes or until reduced by half.
- Add sweetener to taste and more salt and pepper if needed.
This is delicious as a dipping sauce for meats or even when cooled used to cook the meat in. This would also be good to cook a lean piece of pork in for BBQ pulled pork.
