Hunters chicken

This is my slimming world version of hunters chicken, I’m a sucker for this pub classic, I have done it with turkey breast steaks so I don’t see why you couldn’t do it with some leftover turkey.

this will serve 4 people

2 large chicken breasts ( cut in half or 4 small)

Smoked paprika, salt, pepper and garlic granules

25g nature reduced fat cheese per piece of chicken*

4 tbsp of your favourite BBQ sauce (i will be uploading a SW BBQ sauce recipe but I use Heinz at 1 syn per tbsp)*

  1.  Set the oven at 180oC.
  2. Lay out some baking paper and sprinkle over the salt, pepper, garlic granules and paprika and coat the chicken breasts in the seasoning.
  3. Sear in a medium-low frying pan and cook on 3 minutes each side,then place on a lined baking tray.
  4. Cover each piece of chicken, with some BBQ sauce and some grated cheese and bake until the cheese is melted.

The best thing about this sort of meal is you can have it with everything from salad to rice and veggies or chips. I hope you give this meal a try! If using leftover turkey place the turkey on a tray, coat with the BBQ sauce and cheese and bake until bubbling and piping hot!
